I recently read Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray. I think I might be the only person in America that wasn't required to read this novel in high school (except for my fellow CHS alums!). As I think I've mentioned a few times (here, here and here), I love classic literature. This is definitely a must read.

i like 'picture of dorian gray' for the commentary it makes on narcissism, wealth and the social classes of the time. how better to see yourself than through an image that ages... really a classic. i agree. plus wilde does have such a way with words only he could do. read some of his short stories if you haven't already.
